We're Getting Ready for Small Business Saturday!

This Saturday, November 26, is a big day for us at Max’s and for small businesses around the country. It’s the second annual Small Business Saturday, when people across the country come out and shop to support their favorite local businesses. This is the second year that American Express has championed Small Business Saturday, and I think it’s fair to say that with over 2 million “likes” on Facebook, it is something of a movement. In addition to helping build awareness about small businesses, which is good for me and the others who are participating, there’s something in it for you as well. If you have an American Express card, you will receive a $25 credit on your statement if you shop in one of the participating small businesses on Saturday and spend $25. Here’s the link that will take you to the registration page and will also let you enter your zip code to get a list of all of the participating small businesses in that area. So, this weekend, I hope that you enjoy a wonderful and safe holiday with friends and family and enjoy lots of pie, have fun on Black Friday (oh, by the way — we’re opening at our usual 10am time — no crazy, early hours here!), and shop at your favorite small businesses on Small Business Saturday.
