Can you believe it? It’s Thanksgiving and, besides the prerequisite stomach ache that often accompanies the holiday, it means that it’s “game on” when it comes to holiday shopping. I have absolutely no patience and no tolerance for all of that “shop on Thanksgiving night, shop at midnight, door-buster, deal, deal, deal kind of stuff. Nope, I won’t have it! What I will have (besides that extra helping of stuffing) is a good time trying to create a fun time for our customers. To kick off the holiday shopping season this year, we’ve asked one of our newest additions to the Max’s collection, Jewelry By Cari, to join us for a trunk show this Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25. This is a really fun line as you get to put the pieces together — charms, dog tags, pendants and gemstones — that best signifies your life. Cari’s husband Rory will be in the store to hand-stamp your important initials, names, dates and sayings while you wait. There are rings, earrings and bracelets too, and we think that this is a great way to give something really personal to those on your gift list. Of course it wouldn’t be a trunk show without lots of chocolate samples all around, and even though it’s 60 degrees today, it is supposed to be a bit cooler this weekend, so we’ll have a cup of hot chocolate (and I’m talking hot chocolate — NOT cocoa!) ready for you.
Don’t forget that Saturday is Small Business Saturday, and the nice people at American Express will give you a $25 dollar credit on your statement if you have registered your card and spend $25 in a registered small business. You can’t beat that!
